Duties and Responsibilities The Director of Sports is responsible to the Chief Officer responsible for sports for advice on policy issues concerning the development of sports in the county. Duties and responsibilities will entail the formulation of policy, staff development, coordination of the sports function at the county level and the development of sports facilities Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have the following: Served in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years A bachelor's degree in a sports-related field or in any other related social related field from a recognized institution. A master's degree in a sports-related field or an equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; and Demonstrated administrative and professional competence and a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, and objectives and an ability to relate them to proper management of sports nationally go to method of application »
